I joined the forum since my laptop is broken and the store i got it from took forever to diagnose it and weasle their way out of the warrenty period. So this is the starting point of me wanting to learn more about electronics and how to repair them (kind of getting sick of needing to wait forever for stores to do the least amount of effort).

Hi everyone, my name is Jakub Vávra, and I’m from the Czech Republic. I’m a tech enthusiast who is just starting to learn how to repair computers and laptops. My journey into technology began when I was a kid, and our old desktop PC broke down. I decided to take a look at it myself, and even though it was more trial and error than success, it sparked a curiosity in me that drives me to this day.
Now, I’m focusing on improving my repair skills, both with hardware and software. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how things work and finding solutions to problems. It’s still a learning process for me, but I love the feeling when I manage to fix something or understand how it operates.

I joined this forum to learn from more experienced people and to find inspiration for my future progress. I’m happy to hear about your experiences and, when possible, share what little I know so far.

Hi, I'm trying to repair a Lenovo T480s I believe it is the backlight fuse, as the display is not lit up. I have tried another MB with the monitor and the screen works fine. So I'm looking for help in starting my journey into micro soldering/repairs. Looking at hot air stations and magnifiying glasses. Also looking for diagrams for Thinkpad T480s.
