Hi everyone! My name is Sergio, and I'm from Cuba 🇨🇺. I'm passionate about technology and have been working in an electronics repair workshop for several years. I specialize in diagnosing and fixing hardware issues, and I also work on renewable energy projects across the country — from solar installations to energy-efficient systems.

I'm always eager to learn more about BIOS repair, firmware recovery, and embedded systems. I recently started exploring SPI flash programming and BIOS dumps as a hobby, and I'm excited to connect with others who share these interests.

Looking forward to learning from this amazing community and contributing wherever I can. Thanks for having me!

              Hello Badcaps community,

My name is Mada, and I'm writing from Romania.

I've been working in the IT industry for about 10 years. I found this forum while searching for solutions to a specific problem I'm facing.

Currently, I'm trying to fix an HP EliteBook 840 G7, and I suspect it needs a BIOS reflash. I've seen a lot of expertise on these boards, so I'm hoping to learn from you all.

Looking forward to being part of the community!

              Best regards, Mada

                          Howdy!

I am a man of wealth and taste. I also have a broken ThinkPad T480s I'd like to learn how to fix!! I've dabbled in electronics as a hobby and I enjoy it but wish I knew more.

Hello. I'm here trying to fix what I believe to be a corrupted BIOS on an HP mini computer. As part of that process I'm trying to learn how to create a clean bios .bin file or at least to recognize when a bios .bin file is actually clean. I've just started getting into home lab things and I'm hoping to add this defective pc to the one I've already got running a minecraft server. If i can get it going I think I'll use it as a test bench for other things. Those of you in the BIOS reflashing community will probably hear from me once I know what questions to ask and once my non-hobby life gives me another opportunity to work on this.

I'm also interested in reusing and recycling and keeping older electronics functional, but feel the constraints of my budget when it comes to building out my electronics lab. I still take a great deal of satisfaction though when I can get something that's broken going again.

                            Ty
