Hi everyone!My name’s ramanvda, and I’m a tech enthusiast from France. I’ve been into electronics and embedded systems for over a decade now, mostly as a self‑taught hobbyist who loves combining hardware tinkering with a bit of software magic.My main interests include microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino, ATmega), low‑voltage power design, and experimenting with custom firmware flashing like Tasmota and ESPurna. Recently, I’ve been working on a small personal project where I simulate remote control button presses using optocouplers and MOSFETs, all managed through a web interface hosted on an ESP32. It’s been a fun challenge balancing signal isolation, power management, and responsiveness.Outside of microcontrollers, I enjoy exploring Linux system administration. I’m not a professional electrical engineer (my day job is closer to IT infrastructure and automation), but electronics have always been my creative outlet.In my workspace, you’ll usually find half-assembled PCBs, jumper wires everywhere, and a small 3D printer constantly running.

Hi all,
I have some basic knowledge in microelectronics field, but realized only lately that with some tooling it was not so hard repairing stuff, with some luck at least. In terms of computer repair II am a beginner as I repaired no more than three or four MacBooks. I am interested in both the technical and political aspects, knowing that repairing too much is bad for industry (simultaneously they overwhelm us with the urgence to "save the planet"), with Apple in forefront to brick their machines.

I've been working in the electronics industry since 1987, with experience ranging from repairing TVs and VCRs for a very large and well-known manufacturer to working with industrial electronics. I started working in the computer industry in 1991. I'm not primarily a computer programmer. I repair all electronic equipment myself. Currently, I've been working with solar-powered off-grid energy systems for over 15 years.

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the community. I’ve been tinkering with electronics for a while — mostly repairing and restoring older hardware, and I’ve recently gotten more interested in troubleshooting boards at the component level.
