Am retired software engineer of 38 years. Purchased laptop I used at penultimate job. Used it for a while and then the SVP decided to go south on me. Joined to find out if anyone here has a solution for a Lenovo T490.

I'm a hobbyist with electronics and just got started to learn about electronics, and searching for a forum that I can join, and Google sent me here. I hope that I have a positive and friendly manner here, and I can learn more with my hobby as an electronic tinkerer. Thank you for the opportunity to let me join here and I hope you all a nice day

Hi all, just decided to join your lovely forums. I found this place when I was searching for capacitors for replacing the bad GSCs that are on a board that a buddy from work gave me. Hope to have some fun here as well as learn more about computer electronics and sharpen my electronics skills.

              Amophis

                Hello Guys.

I'm new here. I'm 26 and i come from germany.
I'm here to find knowledge. I have a bunch of hobbys and i usually go to deep into it. So i came to a point where i need deeper knowledge as the normal Internet can provide.
Hopefully this forum is helping out here ^^

It’s been a while! About 15 years ago, I was deeply into electronics repair, spending my days troubleshooting boards, swapping components, and bringing devices back to life. Life took me down a different path for a while, but lately, I’ve been noticing how much the electronics repair world has evolved — new tools, new techniques, and so many exciting challenges.

It feels like the right time to dive back in, reconnect with the repair community, and learn what’s new while sharing what I know from my earlier experience. Looking forward to exchanging tips, tricks, and stories with you all.
