I'm FN - purchased an HP EliteDesk 800 G6 micro from eBay. Seller did not state it was BIOS locked & showed system logged into Windows 10. System is BIOS locked. Ground PIN 2 on a specified chip caused the expected power LED colors (5 x red long & 7 x white short flashes) & beeps. BIOS admin password is not cleared. Now considering some of the options on this site.

Hi, I'm a rising freshman at University of Maryland College Park for CS. I've been interested in retro-computing and coding since I was 8, and I figured that joining this forum would make it easier to get "badcaps" on my old Dell Dimension XPS T450 fixed before they start melting my dad's old rig lol.

In the last years I started building a few things (pincab...) requiring some hands on abilities I never had., and I also made the move to repair things by myself as much as possible.

I try to itroduce myself (sorry for bad english):
I am retired Electronics Engineer. I started as entry class Engineer (Consumer Electronics) it ended finally as Service, IT and Logistics General Manager in that company.

If one of my friends has broken electronic device, they ask me to fix it.

Beside of that I play with Smart Home (Home Assistant) and from time to time I help myself and others with installing Solar Systems (photovoltaic).

From time to time I need to fix my car. If washing machine fails, my wife will call me.
