Hello, 3 years ago my kidney's failed and I had to go on dialysis for a year before I was able to get a transplant from my brother. I have been out of work for those 3 years and am finding it almost impossible to get a job given my condition, so I started my own business refurbishing used and retro computers, laptops, and consoles (think Atari 2600 or Commodore 64).

I recently received a BIOS locked Dell 5130 and my google search for an unlock brought me here. This is a great place for me, and I plan on spending a lot of time here.

              Hello all, I'm Nicole.

I am a single mother with an addiction to learning and a thought process which allows me to believe nothing is ever truly broken. I have always tinkered with things from re wiring a disco ball at 6yrs old. To learning about Linux, rebuilding os'from the ground up, and even fixing vehicles, small engines, painting int/ext.s, Masonry work.......a Jane of All Trades really but matter of none. I stumbled upon this website tonight(and glad I did) while looking for a solution to the problem with my dinosaur...... lol. My toshiba satellite a305-6905. I've run into an issue after someone decided to remove my hard drive, Linux mint disk, SD card and I believe may have taken a ram or 2. Since then, she turns on great but once she starts to boot that's all folks. Sometimes she says x server/mdm issues and others she silently screams through the flashing caps lock button. In suite I'm probably over looking something simple but any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all and please someone help me save my dinosaur!!

Hello!, I recently bought a laptop, only to discover that the BIOS is locked. After doing a lot of research online, I ended up here. Hopefully, by reading through all the threads, I'll be able to find a solution one day.

Hi! I am Emerson, from Philippines graduate of BS Computer Science but I am more happy on fixing or repairing electronics but I only have limited knowledge and idea on the industry.
As a beginner in electronics it was difficult to shift on board level especially on computer and mobile phones. I joined this group because i know it can help me grow and it can guide me, as I expect I know that I can learn from you too. Thankfully I found this site on the internet and hoping that it can help me a lot on growing.

Hi all. I'm a self taught laptop and game console "technician" started fixing things like mobile phones and computers back in 2007 in a local shop in Edinburgh. The journey started with screen replacements but gradually leaded to more technical stuff like soldering charging and hdmi ports later troubleshooting motherboards and micro soldering. I'm still learning by facing more and more difficult cases.
