Hi All,
I live in Far North Queensland. I was a Mechanical Engineer when I was working but am now retired. I like to try to repair equipment when it fails, rather than sending it to the tip. My most spectacular repair so far was the repair (twice, over about 2 years) of a Carver M400 amplifier which failed, probably due to humidity originally. I'm currently struggling with a Lenovo Legion laptop that mysteriously completely failed to the extent that it has no signs of life whatsoever. I'm looking at reflashing the bios, having eliminated various shorts on the motherboard as reasons for the fault. Here goes!

hi I'm steadyeddie10 new to electronics repairs, and decided to join bad caps ,as been herein a lot of good things about the site, and a ppl's on it.not much to say other than I'm in my mid sixties always been interested in repairing electronics, but went down a different route as a carrier.
