Hi everyone,
I live in Portugal and work as an electrotechnician. As an hobby I collect old computer and console and I do some repair of myself to keep them in working order.
I'm already a member of the forum quite awhile, and I spend a lot of time reading thru the threads here and I'm glad for all the tips I learned from all the people who have contributed and I hope some day be able to contribute too.
Hi all,
I've mostly worked construction. I bought an e-waste L13 gen 2a with annoying keyboard backlight issues and am joining this forum to request schematics to save time figuring out where to attach a DSLogic to see what's happening on the i2c bus that's causing the driver to fail to initialise.
Honestly, I don't do much else with electronics. I did buy an Aerohive AP330 router, a BDI 2000 debugger, an mpcie to pcie adaptor and a Radeon HD5570 to build a fully open multicore PPC system to serve as a comparison against the Wii U which has undocumented SoC (even with the leaked IBM Espresso specification no open source Linux has stable multicore enablement. AMD GPU interactions?) but sadly no fully working Wii U linux yet. Gentoo linux is pretty good on the Playstation 3, proof of concept on the Playstation 2 (yes, really, it's on GitHub.) and nobody has proper multicore support for the Wii U yet. ðŸ˜
I've tinkered with audio stuff, to, but that's about it. I'm old enough that I have a C=64 kicking around.
I graduated in 1994 as an electronics engineer, but I have never practiced my profession. I am interested in electronics as a hobby. Recently, I have started to be interested in laptop repair. I joined this forum to improve myself more. I hope I can learn a lot more and improve myself.
Hello, I'm an apprentice computer repair specialist. I'm here on this forum to learn from those with more experience and to make contributions that are within my capabilities. I thank in advance all those who have contributed diagrams, files, and procedures or methods, and I hope to be of help to you as well. Best regards, everyone.😎☺
