My name is Rafael, I'm 30 years old and currently beginning my journey into electronics repair. I've always been curious about how things work, and over time that curiosity grew into a real interest in understanding and fixing electronic hardware.

Right now, I'm focusing on learning the fundamentals of electronics, especially related to motherboard and GPU repairs. I'm also slowly getting familiar with tools like multimeters, soldering stations, and even starting to explore microsoldering and BGA rework. My goal is to eventually become confident in diagnosing and repairing complex electronic boards.

I joined this forum because I know how valuable it is to learn from experienced people, and I'm hoping to absorb as much knowledge as possible from the discussions here. I might ask a lot of beginner questions, but I'm eager to learn and very grateful for any advice or guidance you can offer.

I am a tinkerer who prefers fixing things instead of throwing them away.

It got a bit out of hand when I lived next to a publicly accessible e-waste bin but I am a recovering addict now - until I find something that still can be recovered while respectfully destroying any sensitive data I might find.
At a time I got my laptop, desktop, ipad, even game console from such sources or gave them away when they piled up.

Apart from this I am a retro freak, keeping a C64, Amiga(s), ZX Spectrum, Atari around for various coding accidents and other shenanigans.
