Life long tinkerer. 33 years experience. Trying to expand my repair abilities. Thanks for the schematic. Beginning of career, did do on site component replacement, but soon after just board replacement. Now getting back into board repair and have found some useful information here. Don't let anyone know, I am a printer expert. Lots of different styles through the years, impact, ink, laser and thermal. Associates in Electronics Engineering Technology, A Plus certification, MCP, MSCE. Swore off certifications after that, realizing how it is not a good way to determine someone's capability. Seen too many fakers not making it.Comment

Hi, I am young technician from Azerbaijan. I am student, so I just started my way into pc/ laptop electronics, so I decided here I can find some help for starting.
I want to take CompTIA A+ exam for start, so I think it will be first achievement of mine. I don't know much in IT (I have only 3 years of passive experience in the field),but I hope I'll meet some friends here
I am studying at Faculty of Art History (strange hobby, I know), so I think get into Computer Science bachelor after finishing this one.
I love music (Blues especially) and practicing guitar. I also love collecting old LP Records for myself.
Here is my introductionComment

Hello all! I'm a 45 year old hick from the sticks that took apart his first cordless phone at 8 years old, access to first DOS desktop at 10, and had a 20lb. laptop with a monochrome screen at 12. Been tearing stuff apart and "hacking" ever since (if you consider "hacking" similar to turning plasma spheres into stun guns type of behavior). Hope to gain some knowledge from the forum and even possibly contribute in some way that doesn't cause someone to lose an eye! Thanks, Johnny B.Comment

My name is cocoloco31, and I'm a forum enthusiast. I've been an active participant in various online communities for many years, and I just can't get enough of the learning and sharing that happens here.
A little about me: I'm a fairly private person when it comes to the internet, especially since anything you write can be seen by anyone with a connection. But I love to share the knowledge and information I have, so that's why I'm here—to share and learn.
