Glad to be here. I find these type of online forums very valuable. I'm a retired IT executive that started a career in IT with my VIC-20 (one of the first ones ever sold). I'm glad to be back into the hands on type of work rather than the paperwork and personnel management of things. As a hobby, I collect and repair vintage computers and peripherals from a variety of brands including Commodore, Apple, Timex, Radio Shack TRS-80, Texas Instruments and Atari. On occasion, I sell the units I've repaired at a price to recoup parts costs only. My labor is free because it's my hobby and learning opportunity that I enjoy.

I am a Guatemalan IT enthusiast, my most epic moment was when I was flashing my Mazda radio system and got a black screen, I didn't upgrade the firmware as I was supposed to, but then I was able to flash my firmware using a second radio software.
