I am a retired electrical/software engineer.

I volunteer for Free Geek Twin Cities. I refurbish donated laptops and install new operating systems. Some systems come with BIOS passwords. We (Free Geek) will not sell systems with BIOS passwords.

I am reading about how to remove BIOS passwords on 2018 to 2021 era HP and Dell laptops. They mostly have WSON 8x6mm BIOS chips.

I would be interested in anyone reprogramming these chips in-circuit. For now it looks like I will need to remove the parts from the board to reprogram them.
