Came here at the recommendation of another forum site admin for my particular problem with my T480 admin locked bios. Now I understand why it was cheaper than the others I saw. Was told that the technique in 'shorting' the bios chip wouldn't work with this thinkpad model and better off with a patch. That is why I signed up. Was wondering where here can I find the solution.

Hello! My name is Johnam, and I have a strong passin for computer software, servers, and gaming. Technology has always fascinated me, and I thrive in environments where I can explore, build, and optimize systems to deliver efficient results. From writing clean code to configuring robust server architectures, I enjoy every aspect of working with computers.
In my free time, you'll often find me immersed in gaming, whether it's exploring expansive open-world adventures, strategizing in competitive online matches, or simply unwinding with a casual game. Gaming isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s also a way to understand how systems, servers, and software interact in real-time to create seamless experiences for players worldwide.
Beyond gaming, I spend time exploring server configurations, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing system performance. I find satisfaction in solving complex technical problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. The blend of creativity and logic required in software and server management keeps me engaged and constantly learning.
I believe that technology isn’t just about functionality but also about building meaningful connections—whether it's through gaming communities, collaborative development projects, or server networks. I’m excited to continue growing my skills and contributing to innovative tech solutions.

Hi I'm Grant, I've been building PC's for about 12 years including water cooling, overclocking and some custom build work but I'm finding myself interested in repairing motherboards recently and learning electronics mainly from watching Richard (Learn Electronics Repair) on youtube, what a legend he seems, yeah!! so knowledgeable....luv him! I have some intel socket motherboards that require new sockets and I'm contemplating purchasing a TBK R-2201 to carry out the works. but I can find hardly any information about it especially reviews for the unit.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this machine, it looks suitable for socket replacement but is it?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
this is the website for it :
