Hello all,
Like many of us here these days, what brings me here is a schematic. Im an ECE student in my early years getting hammered by my theory classes , i find forums like these and the huge amount of content available to be gold mines. Ive gotten more practical experience from tearing-down broken devices, repairing 2nd hand devices , and bricking said devicesthan i have in my classes altogether..I Anyways, i hope for a fun time in here, looking forward to meeting some cool people and learning something new.

Hi, everyone! I am an old man trying to learn or catch up on what I lost since I worked as a computer technician and I want to start practicing again. I am retired and do not work and now I have time to learn a little more.Comment

Hi! Repairing electronics is a hobby of mine. Buying cheap broken stuff that I wanted to try to use and repair it if possible. Doing that for several years with partial success. I've got a better computer, notebook, good hi-fi audio system and SLR cam this way.Comment

Hi all,
I guess a have a bad cap XD on my old gear (hp omen 15 ce series), so I'm joinning to get help! May be I can bring it back to life again (if that happen I will report here what happened).
I always told myself to not just throw thing away without a quick look (but also i'm always busy and tired).
Anyway this time, is my first time attempting to fix a laptop motherboard (work on analog asic design).

Hi, I like old laptops, I have quite a few Toshiba's from the 90's and early 2000's and thinkpads from 2000's and on. Hoping to keep them going for a very long time. Sure they aren't great for connecting to the internet but nothing runs windows 7 like an old lenovo with an SSD installed in it... lolComment
