Hello,
lazo41 here... I want to say hello and describe myself a bit. I have been in the telecom industry for 20+ years now and have seen a lot of changes. I have been a part of and seen the good and bad of the industry (dot com busts, re-orgs, and up-staffing situations) along the way. I don't have a formal degree, but I have attended 3+ years of college in various programs and have been involved in various aspects of electrical engineering. I am not trying to toot my own horn, but I just want to describe my experience and exposure. I joined this website to gain some knowledge and perhaps impart something useful as well.
I look forward to participating...Comment

Hi, introducing myself as I hope to be a regular here.
I go by Woodsworth and am just getting into electronics repair. I have a long standing interest in taking things apart and putting them back together. I am a tech support specialist for my day job. I’ve been able to build my own computer and have done a num er of component upgrades on laptops and desktops. Though I want to expand into repair work. I’m needing to learn a lot and improve on skills like soldering and diagnosing electronics. I’ve got a MacBook A2289 I’m trying to fix which has no signs of life bar the trackpad clicking. I’ve also purchased a PS3 with a YLOD I’m wanting to try and repair. I’m here to learn and hopefully one day contribute to some one else’s repair journey.Comment

My name is Mahmoud from Algeria. I am married and have three children. I graduated from college with a degree in computer information systems and business administration. I used to be a computer programmer, but this work exhausted me and is not in demand in my country, Algeria. After that, I turned to developing Cisco security systems on computers, but I did not excel enough in it. So I turned to repairing computers, and I am developing myself in this field. I loved it and bought professional repair equipment, but I am not good at modifying, updating and cleaning the BIOS, which is why I joined this wonderful forum and I am learning from the active members in this field. Thank you.Comment
