My Lenovo Legion 5 bricked the other day. I paid a dang repairman $145 to tell me I needed to buy a new computer, ha! But I don't believe him... I'm going to try to DIY it.Comment

Hello, I am a computer technician from Germany. I am 56 years old and have been working for a large telecommunications company for 40 years. While looking for a way to remove the BIOS password from an HP 650 G5, I came across the very good forum here. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to my problem yet but let's see if it still works.
Kind regards

Hello All!
Hope you are well.
I've joined this forum as I saw the odd YouTube video referencing the site and had to pay it a visit.
I work as an IT specialist and have always enjoyed trying to make a few bob from fixing tech on the side where possible, it used to be fixing phones but the margins got too small.
Within work we have recently seen a lot of laptops which were originally setup incorrectly and this has prompted numerous issues with lost BIOS passwords.
I was keen to learn more about whether this is something which can potentially be fixed hence visiting and signing up whilst ultimately this forum is likely to prove invaluable in terms of a knowledge base.
First PC game I lost hours on: Theme Park on the Amiga 600
First PC I ever owned: Amstrad PC1512
First program I ever wrote: A traffic light in BBC Basic
Last PC I destroyed: Accidentally pierced the battery trying to fix a Microsoft Surface Book, carpet still needs replacing!
Something I hate: Clearing user profiles from Mac machines when they are hidden behind Staff profiles using “sudo dscacheutil -flushcache”
Have a good day folks.Comment
