I'm a 46 yr old IS Operations analyst. I have been around computers since I was 5. I've owned over 30 systems from big volume sellers like Apple, Dell, HP/Compaq to my own builds. I'm not an expert. I'm just really comfortable with my knowledge. I love learning something new.

Hello. Simon (nickname) here. I've been traveling around the world and haven't stablished myself yet, I'm currently in Europe and likely I'm gonna stay around for a while. I'm into repairing computers, mobile devices and some times some audio systems as well on a semi-professional/technician level. I'll add more later when I find some extra time to post.

Decided to join this excellent forum while trying to revive a 2019 Macbook Pro and looking for info on openboardview and associated files. I am a retired EE. Last job was as a test and verification engineer for Xilinx. Since then I've been self-employed repairing guitars and guitar amps. I also started collecting and repairing Tektronix scopes and calibration gear as a side interest.
I look forward to having access to all the knowledge available here and hope that I can contribute to the community as well. I'm located in Albuquerque - home of 'Bad' !

Hi, Im Cody,
I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I have a basic understanding of electronics, enough to destroy most of the hardware around me. I mainly work on embedded designs and the occasional pc build/repair. Currently looking to repair my Asus GTX1060 3GB that I may or may not have melted in the oven.
