I thought i would let you see a couple of pics of a CYBERHOME dvd recorder that was non operative. as you will see in the pictures there are a few bad caps on the boards. the green caps are JENPO and the large leaking black cap is an S.Y.
are these caps the most likely cause of the problem? the board that houses the bulging JENPO'S is most likely a transformer circuit of some kind as it holds the connector for the power lead. there is not the slightest sign of life in the system. not even a glowing LED.
Is it worth fixing?
CYBERHOME products are made for ASDA in the UK (part of wallmart)
