    Westinghouse Sk-26h735s

Hello I am new to this forum so forgive me if I miss any important details. I have three of these LCD tv and all blew at the same time it seems that power went out and none turn on now really need help dont want to spend . What they do went you power the little light light power on for a second then shuts off. at first I figured power supply board went bad but i saw one on line which has been tested for $40 bucks so i purchased one but it does the same thing after i attempt to power on the power supply keeps a small clicking noise. Due to lack of tools I purchased a new power board.coule the mainboard mosfets be bad? nothing really looks burned.

Please post the pictures of all boards (one unit first) as attachments. We will give you some direction to hopefully a solution.

here are the pic thank you I manage to buy a cheap multimeter how do I go about measuring? I measured some of the mosfet on the mainboard and got .3 ohms on upper left mosfet and 2.77 k ohm on the ones to the middle right. i included power board pic but since i know thats not the problem since I purhased a working board. thanks!

Something you can quickly check is the fuse on the inverter board. I circled it in the attached pic. Check whether it is short or open.

I took another look at the picture you attched of the inverter and looks as if there is another smaller fuse next to the larger one. Check them both. Here is a pic with both fuses circled.

I'd replace that FET that measured .3 ohms. Of course, once you have it out, measure it again to make sure.

Probably not a FET. 1084-18 sounds like a 1.8 volt regulator. AIC1084-18 IS a 1.8 volt LDO regulator. Note that the tab (Vout) is connected to the middle pin on the other side. Pin 1 is Gnd, pin 3 is Vin. If the tab is shorted to either of the long pins on the other side you have a problem. If it is shorted to pin 3 you have a BIG problem.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                        by PantherDave
                        Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                        Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                        by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
