    Sony KDL40EX521 USB device problems

    Hi guys,
    have problem with this Sony, everything work but on the screen it's display this message: The USB device is drawing too much current. Please remove the device. The TV don't have USB key in the input. I check too do an update with network but still the problem, what I have to do now?

      Check for damaged usb port or short on power terminal of usb.
      I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

          I have already check these things, I disconnect completly these USB port

              it could refer to the wifi module because its external. other wise i will inter service menu from there do hard reset.

                  Hi this is a really odd case.
                  I have removed all of the esd ic for USB 3.0 and 2.0
                  I measured all of the data lines and 5v usb voltage lines there are no shorts
                  all of the USB ports have no damage
                  Clearing the bios using the jumper wont help.

                  it is still showing USB overcurrent device

                  the only temporary fix I've tried and worked so far is flashing the bios
                  and the error is gone
                  but when you start the motherboard with a USB device still attached
                  the USB over current device error is back. the bios needs to be externally flashed...

                  Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla....

                  Hi all,

                  Wanted to share this as I couldn't find anything on the internet about this problem, so pulled one apart and found the problem myself. Years ago I bought approx 20 or so Crest Smart Home Single Power Adapter smart switches - small 240v Tuya-compatible (rebranded) smart switch devices with power monitoring, which Big W had on sale for half price. Paid $7.50 each for these, and they've been incredibly useful for turning things on and off remotely... and monitoring how much power each device uses.

                  However, after about 12 months, I had a number of these stop working...

                  Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

                  Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me.                   Dell XPS 13 9370 unknown USB devices in device manager

                  Hello, i bought a faulty Dell xps 13 9370 after installing windows in device manager i Can see 2 unknown devices, one is thingerprint reader because it dissapears after i unplug it and second one is i believe bluetooth because it also doesnt work and in bios there is no bt also.

                  Device manager says "unknown device, failed to request device descriptor"
                  Can somebody point me in right direction what to check?
                  I updated bios to the newest version and thunderbolt controller firmware still no luck
