    Re: Un50mu6070 Mainboard issue

    1. Cut the tracks in three places
    2. We solder the 4.7k resistors into place
    3. We restore the VCC circuit (8 pin power) using a jumper
    4. As a result, it should look something like this

And also the cost of powering the matching lines of the chip of the programmer itself from 5v to 3.3v.

Ok, I don't have any 4.7k resistors. I will have to order them.

Is there another CH341A programmer that works without modifying it?

If not what is the next programmer to get that doesn't require mods?

Is this modification required only for the register problem?

Will the programmer work fine for other chips as well? I mostly do eeproms 24CXX and 25QXX at home, also for reading and programming radios that require ISP connections.

Yes, everything else will work as well.

                UPDATE: FIXED!!!

Received new programmer. First attempt did not work with your firmware Lotas. Not sure if I did something wrong or not. It was my first attempt using this programmer with the supplied software.

However I did get it to work after loading the original eeprom dump from the 55" donor board i used.

I have attached the dump from that eeprom to help anyone else that might need it.

Thanks again for all the help Lotas. Appreciate your time and expertise.

Last question, I have a Sony tv with a bad emmc. Will this RT809F programmer work for this? If not any recommendations.

RT809F will not cope with EMMc, RT809H will do, but it does not cope well with EMMc firmware, especially by Sony, a good programmer for NAND and EMMc is UFPI.

what does matters to the programmer which is the content of the memory?

                      Re: Un50mu6070 Mainboard issue

A good programmer should not just read and write, but be able to work with bad blocks (nand), work with partitions (EMMc), display the percentage of EMMc health, prepare a dump, be able to write it down correctly, observing the table, and much more.

coming back to the ch341 problem, how can it write correctly the status register2 if previously it has protected it by programming srp0 (status register protect 0, if i remember it refers to the other register) to on? it is not that QE is not changeable because it is in conflict with other settings?

                          Hey Lotas,
How do you fix the bin files we provide you?

I have a Samsung Soundbar I’m pretty sure the eeprom is bad. I dumped the chip already but not sure how to tell if anything is bad or missing.
Thanks for all the help. If you have PayPal I would be happy to donate for your knowledge and time.

                          Thanks

I am fixing with a HEX editor and knowledge, what happened to the Samsung Soundbar?

                              Long story short.

It would power on. But only stay on “BT” Bluetooth. I could not switch input or change volume. I tried unplugging the remote/ ir board and the buttons on the top of the unit separately with no success.

I could not get it to update through usb either.

So after all that I’m assuming it’s the eeprom or another ic related issue possibly.

I was starting with the eeprom since I have the programmer now

                                  Re: Un50mu6070 Mainboard issue

Don’t have the motherboard in front of me.

                                  But the model is HW-Q90R.

I have repaired it few different models of theses with bad power supplies. They all seem to have the same internals. ( power supply, motherboard, speaker output boards.

It seems the software is the main difference.

Thanks for the info. Not sure where to go from this point. I’m pretty sure it’s software related issue though.
