    Panasonic DMR-EX98 no signal fault

    Hi All,
I have a Panasonic DMR-EX98V which has suddenly lost its Freeview channels. Other models suffer from this issue and its down to a couple of bad caps, however this models internals are very different!

Does anybody have any insights into which caps need changing for this model?

I had a look inside and there is nothing obviously bulging or discoloured. I also wonder if the power supply fix for the U80 / U81 error may actually also address this issue.

    Any advice much appreciated.

Capacitors have the ability to lose their capacity (they dry out) and their ESR increases, and their appearance does nothing, they must be checked by the ESR-Meter

      Panasonic SA-MAX770PU SMPSU board fault....
      by Rictech
      Hello everyone. πŸ˜€

As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.

Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...

DTK 400W PSU Power Good signal 0V fault
      by PanicMechanic
Hello. I have this old PSU for my old computer. DTK PTP-4007P.
The computer shuts down quickly when it boots up. Sometime in the middle of the boot. The computer is old, AMD Athlon 64 2800+ based setup (it has same low end graphics card, low power), the PSU is more than capable of powering it.

I have noticed that when the computer was running, the Power Good (PG) signal from the PSU was high (above 4V), but when the computer shuts itself off, the PG signal goes to 0V.

The PSU provides all voltages, but the PG is 0V even when the PSU is on (PS-ON shorted to...

Panasonic TX-40AX630B has developed a fault
      by chockimon
      Hello,

I bought a Panasonic 40" TX-40AX630B TV from Richer Sounds 7 years ago and it has developed a strange fault. If I attempt to press any button on the back of the TV or remote control (access media features etc.) the TV locks up for a few minutes or longer and sometimes goes blank. However, if I turn the TV off and on again and quickly select a channel it will work fine all day long, as long as I don't touch the remote or controls on the back of the TV.

I've tried changing batteries on the remote, changing plug sockets and doing other things such as a...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
      by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Panasonic 55DX600u second fault - panel brightness pulsing on right side
      by fixxy88
After getting the backlights up and running a second fault has emerged on this TV. I was going accept defeat and move on but thought I'd have a quick look at it in case it was something simple. The right side of the display exhibits a panel brightness (not backlight brightness) pulse every 2-3 seconds in a stable timing.

I poked about on the TCON test points and found one voltage that is fluctuating in the same pattern. VGH-ODD (Pin 47 of U10) is sitting at ~-6.5v then goes up to ~28v when the brightness pulses then goes back down to ~-6.5v again in a repeating pattern.
