Hi All,
I have a Panasonic DMR-EX98V which has suddenly lost its Freeview channels. Other models suffer from this issue and its down to a couple of bad caps, however this models internals are very different!
Does anybody have any insights into which caps need changing for this model?
I had a look inside and there is nothing obviously bulging or discoloured. I also wonder if the power supply fix for the U80 / U81 error may actually also address this issue.
Any advice much appreciated.

Re: Canon PIXMA MG5650 dump
Hi All, I have come across a MG5650 card which has SIP chips which are marked differently to the firmware dump files above.
Do I need the correct chip dumps for these chips or should the above dumps work? (they dont appear to but could be another issue). They seem to programme OK but the card will not initialise.
The chips are marked 25Q16CVSIG & 25Q128FVSG
Any pointers much appreciated !Last edited by ivanh; 01-12-2021, 08:30 AM.

Re: Canon PIXMA MG5650 dump
I found i needed to unplug the CH341A programmer when i move the chip clip, as otherwise it seemed to not be accurate on read and write operations.

Western Digital My Book 3TB firmware dump
Hi All,
Does anybody have / or is able to provide a dump of the U2 chip (SOP8) in the WD MyBook for MAC 3TB enclosure? Its the chip on the SATA to USB internal interface card.
Background - I have an enclosure which was not functioning correctly. It was only providing 2TB of space as opposed the original 3TB, no matter how i formatted it. Disabling chip U2 (cutting pin8) restored capacity to 3TB however with the loss of the useful WD drive functions.
Hence the desire to fix the enclosure by replacing the faulty U2 (25LD020 OP8) with a new one, programmed with...

Re: Canon PIXMA MG5650 dump
RESOLVED! - I was able to reprogramme both chips (without desoldering them) using the images provided using a CH341A + AsProgrammer. Initially the original software I used didnt understand the GD25Q128C properly however switching to ASProgrammer did the trick.
nb. the file name for the GD25Q128C image refers to 700 pages usage and not setting the Page setting to 700 in AsPropgrammer.
Many thanks guys!...
