LG Led TV 32LN5300UB Completely Dead

Hi guys i found the Lg tv in the curve completely dead, checked power Supply board and no voltages anywhere,no volts in the primary side or secondary side,no volts 3.5v,24v,12v,i checked mosfet q101 and is good, fuses are all good also checked all components that i could check with my fluke and cap analyzer and all seems to be in order,so it seems to be a mystery . Any help will be appreciated to save this tv from landfill.

What was the meter set to? AC or DC? Looking at your last picture you are checking the voltage between the fuse and ground. You need to check the AC voltage across Line and Neutral. Not Line and Ground

Just check the DC voltage ACROSS the main filter capacitor. It should be 160vDC. Then with the board un plugged from ac, check the resistance of R113, it should be about 0.15Ω
When checking voltages in the Primary, you must reference HOT Ground (C110 negative leg)

Thanks R_J for correcting me, long time i do not repair anything and getting old and forgetting ; Ac Line and Neutral =122v AC, Neutral and fuse=122v Ac, across filter Cap C110=169v Dc. Resistance across R113=0.4ohms, appreciate your help.I took all those voltages without Power supply being connected to main board and panel?

Are you sure you don't have 3.5v on the secondary side?

hI R_J you are not believe it,i picked up this tv from the curve and it had no power cord ,but i had 3 cords in my scrap and took one to the cellar where i have the tv ,but the cord was bad ,the volts i gave you were taken with just power board connected with another cord ,i took this good cord to the celler and now when i connect the cord it goes to standby with red led ,when i power it up it gets a high loud sound from the tuner i guess, but with no display back light, and i tested volts going to the main i get the 3,5v, 12, 24v,i think the main board is bad!

T480s random shutoff and then completely dead
                by wangbreeze
                Hello Gurus,

I got a ThinkPad T480s. It was running fine but suddenly started random shut down. When it turned off, I had to push the reset pin to bring it back to life. But it got aggressively worse and became completely dead. No charging light, no life.

I did some initial diagnostics with just the board (no battery, nothing attached, and no CMOS battery as well)

Initial testing of the coil resistance seems to indicate no dead short. The only low resistance I measured was at PL701. It reads 38 ohms.
                charger gave - 20V - ok

                Completely dead MSI z490 tomahawk
                by pavski
Trying to troubleshoot MSI z490 tomahawk board and would appreciate your help. The board is completely dead and shows no activity when the power button is pressed.

I have tried to look at the Superio, the PSIN signal seems to be correct (goes from 3.3V to 0 on button press) but the voltage on PSOUT pin is quite low. I

t is only 0.8V which seems to be incorrect but goes to 0 when the button is pressed.

Can you please let me know if this is indeed incorrect and what else should I look at next?

                Thanks!

                Lenovo Thinkpad T14s completely dead.
                by Andreasbest
                Hello.
I received a T14s Gen1 ( NM-C891 motherboard ) that is completely dead, no indication of life at all.
I tried hard reset without RTC battery and short both pins of it for 1 minute but no luck.
Since it's type C connector i have no idea what to measure or where to inject voltage, so any advice are welcomed
                Thank you in advance!

                Hi everyone,

Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
                No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
                - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
                - 12 volts line is shorted
                - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
                - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
                - 0.00 amp drawing
                - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...

18VDC PSU completely dead - ZD-915 desoldering station
                by armini
                Hi everyone!

Three years ago I got a ZD-915 desoldering station which failed just after a few months of light use. During a short desoldering session, the station simply shut down, and since then it has been completely dead and unresponsive. The failure was silent, without any pops.

Due to a lack of time, I set it aside and didn't look at it.

Yesterday, I took it apart and did some basic measurements. The 18v terminal shows 0v. In addition, there is no visible damage to the board itself.

According to replies in 18VDC PSU has dropped to...
