Unable to patch Techwood 55A)9UHD (Vestel mb230)

    Hi there everyone

I was wondering if I could get a little help. Back in November my wife and I bought a Techwood 55AO9UHD (running on the Vestel mb230 board) and it's been brilliant... except for one thing. We're unable to get the phone remote app to work.

I've contacted Techwood's Support line and they have kindly provided me with a copy of the firmware that was meant to fix the issue... of course it did not. The Virtual Remote is turned on in the TV setting but it's not really making a difference.

I also run a Home Assistant Server and though I'd try connecting through that instead. Turns out I can't do that either as the port 1986 isn't open.

I've tried using the SwProfile_patcher_kurulumsuz to edit the firmware file but when I select the firmware to load into the app It become unresponsive and eats up all the Memory & CPU until I force quit the program (the longest I've left it running has been about an hour to see if time will hep but no dice)

Is there another way for me to enable the port on the TV at all or another version of the patcher out there?

    Thanks for you help

    Jim

UPDATE: So I tried downloading a different firmware to see if it will work with the software (MB130) and all seems to go well so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the files. I noticed that the MB130 comes with 3 files (hwProfile.bin, LangProfile.bin & SwProfile.bin) whereas the mb230 Firmware is just one file (kylo_usb_update.bin).

Does anyone know if there has been a patcher released that I can use to modify this file?

    Thanks

      More Updates:

I bet you all love me unintentionally spamming you all.

So I've managed to get hold of the 3 profiles from the TV itself... why it didn't work before I have no idea. Whilst it turns out I can not access the profile the profile patcher doesn't have the option to enable the port and whilst I can get the files to load in the ToolBox I have not idea where to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
