    Sony Bravia KDL-46V4100

So a friend dropped off this tv for me to look at and the first thing i did was came to this site. It recommended to check the fuses and LVDS from the main board to t-con. All of the fuses i seen had good continuity. I reseated the LVDS on both ends.

So i hooked up the tv and it ran without any issues for for three straight days. I even unplugged and plugged it back in at least ten times to test it. You know what happens when he gets it home right? Less than two hours later he gets back to be saying the tv has gone into standby mode and will only come out of that mode after it "cools down". He said the kids had the volume up to 88 when it happened. It came on for 10 minutes after it "cooled down" and went out again.

This situation kind of has me stumped. Maybe its a weak power supply and cant handle the speaker wattage or when it runs warm there's a heat protector on it that puts it in standby. I dont know. Any help?

It may well be a power supply problem, an inverter board issue or a failing CCFL lamp.
Without any voltage measurements it would be difficult to guess at this stage.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.
