samsung smart tv 5 blinks ue40d 5520

hi need some help with this one ,
the tv cycles with 5 blinks so wont start up
when switched on the smart tv samsung logo appears for a second
during this brief time the backlight appeas to be evenly lit on the screen
then while the backlight is on then 5 blinks ,the backlight goes off after the first blink.
i assume the backlight leds are ok as the supply voltage 205v appears on the feed plug the normal supplies from the psu all come up ,5v 12v but when the blinking starts the 12v to the main board stops
sorry the pics arent to sharp but i can upload more with better phone camera if needed

A D series restarting after the logo is a bad NAND.

forgot to add backlight stays on
when cnm803 feed plug to main board from psu

so this is a common problem with nand memory
it it a case of reflash software from samsung with usb stick

It's a common problem with the D series.
No, it's a case of replace the NAND.

once replaced does the chip come pre programmed or is it blank?,
i have replaced physically similar surface mount ics in the past ,
if its blank what is the method of programming it

They come blank for about £3 or programmed for about £20 (ebay). A programmer costing around £100 is required to program them if you buy them blank.

i froze the nand chip and factory reset
then f/w update via usb
all working again
but this morning i had a strange mushy pic (ill try to post a pic)
as soon as i can catch it
when i unplugged and restarted all ok?
wondered if this could be the nand ic playing silly buggers
