    Sonix so-015 baclight help

Hi I have a sonix so-015 lcd tv with the back light not working.

I had taken the inverter board out and jumped the positive to the negative with LEDs and the backlight came on. The LEDS got real hot to the touch. I had measured them and came back with around 57 celsius. First I had jumped it with one LED but burned out in about 10 seconds time.

I had paralleled 2 LEDS and kept the light on but the LEDs got hot again to about 47 celsius didn't burn out in 30 mins but one got dimmer. I had jumped it with 3 LEDs and they became hot to the same temperature as the two LEDs jump and didn't burned out in 30 mins..

I think the back light would work for a while with this fix but I wonder how long. I've had used this method with other LCD TVs and they worked for months to come. When I tuoched the led's negative to the left side 8 legged chip on the left side of the chip, it blew the LED out in a second.

My problem with this tv is that the back light is bright on the left side and dimmer on the right side when you are facing the screen. Using one LED the screen is bright but the LED burns out. Using two LEDS the screen is dimmer on the right but the LED don't burns out (using 30 mins on test) using 3 leds the screen is dimmer on the right and the LEDs don't burn out.

I don't know how to measure the values that would indicate what parts are damaged and needs to be replaced. I am suspecting the two FEts but might be a couple of transistors are bad. Can someone please help me? Thanx a lot
