Replaced LED twice, keeps popping almost immediately.

Hi all, I'm working on a Hisense 50H6E that blew a LED. Knowing nothing except how to solder on a new LED we ordered from amazon a package of:
    "SMD 0.5W 2835 LED"
    v(f): 3v - 3.2v
    i(F): 150mA

These LEDs looked like the same size, so i went for it and it worked for about 5-10 seconds, got the tv splash screen and then it bzzt the picture went out.

Did I just order the wrong junk SMD LED? Reading up around here I see there are definitely different types of LEDs, and ratings.

EDIT: just now looking at the power board again I see 160v/400mA in the output specs. Is this my backlight voltages and led spec? so 160/36 total LEDs=4.4v? should I look for 4.4v 400mA LEDs?

Or should I be looking at the power board?

Should I solder on another, and get a reading from the LED output on the powersupply board before it fizzles out again?

    Thanks from Idaho!

You need at least 3V 1W LED. The LED string is not exposed to the full Voltage of the power supply, part of the power supply Voltage will be on the PWM controlled MOSFET and current sensing resistor for maintaining the constant current through the LED string.

Your led must be capable of handling 400mA and would is most likely a 3V led.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

1- measure yours Old burned LED again.. the label of the set tell they are 3030.
2- not all LEDs what you buy are designed for TV Backlight however the seller write they are.... check the LED you bought and measure them with DM on Diode mode.. it should read diode ( Ziner FV ) on side and when you reverse the probe it should light on at any level notice bar of light.

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
            by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...

Onkyo TX-NR828 - popping sound every 5 min
            by roman-hartwig
            Object: Onkyo TX-NR828
Problem: Popping noises in the right surround channel every ~5min
            Service manual: available

After I was able to bring my beloved Onkyo back to life (total failure of the power amplifiers) and it has now been doing its job for some time without any problems, it is now ailing with a new problem. It still works fully, but after about 5min it "pops" in the right surround speaker for about 0.5 sec very loud (100% volume). I am almost scared to death - sounded like a battery exploding or something. It sounds like something is discharging - a...

Marantz SR5007 popping on volume change and mute in Direct Mode
            by BigOof
            Hi,

I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....

KRK Classic 5 popping and stops working
            by skimwam
            Hello,

I have a pair of KRK Classic 5's running through a Scarlett Solo, and I have owned both for around 2 years. Never had any problems, but today I encountered an issue where the speakers will loudly pop, and then stop producing any audio. Restarting my computer and unplug / replugging the interface temporarily fixes the issue, but turning the monitors off and on again does not. Between 1-10 minutes after fixing it starts again. It seems like streaming music / video makes the problem happen less frequently then audio work in my DAW, but still occurs nonetheless. I tried unplugging...

Bose Wave I AWRCC1 - intermittent to no sound output - loud popping & crackle sounds
            by proxneo
            Dear reader

I have been asked to check out a faulty Bose Wave system belonging to a relative. The faulty unit produces loud intermittent pops and crackles. Sometimes there is speaker audio output (FM/AM, CD etc.), most of the time there isn't. This behaviour degraded over time fairly quickly, to the current situation where no sound is put out at all. Gently messing and wiggling wires, connectors or heatsink has no effect in force-replicating the problem. I have little experience in audio repair when it comes to (main)board electronic component faults. Bose repair WAS about 140$ (most...
