    LG oled 65c7p-u

    Hi Everyone

New member here and was looking for some advice on my LG set.

My out of warranty LG oled 65c7p-u has been acting up for a while. The video and sound are intermittently cutting out on all inputs.
I have replaced the main board and power supply but same problem.
Here's a video of the problem

    https://youtu.be/Tv39hKBE2JY

The only thing left that I haven't replaced is the tcon board, wifi card and the panel.

I'm leaning towards the tcon but am not sure since the audio is cutting out as well. Its my last option before I toss this set but wanted to first see what you guys think

Thanks for your time and advice

    Best

    David

Does it behave like this on all inputs?
What happens if you have the TV's menu displayed? Does that disappear also?
And does it get better/worse as the set warms up?

Can you post some good straight on pictures of each board and one of the whole back so we can see how they are connected, post m here, just hit go advanced and manage attachments.

C7 C8 LG OLED suffering from cheap LVDS & ribbon cable.
1- take out the 2 LVDS from MB to T-CON Panel driver and inspect them under loop. specially the area where it connected to MB side 2-8 mm forward to the T-CON you could find burn point or broken line

2- the 4 Ribbon cable going from T-CON Driver to OLED panel.. do same way and give attention to the OLED side all of them.. any changing at color clean them with alcohol same to LVDS.

4- inspect both LVDS & Ribbons then clean .and reset them carefully as they should then turn on.

Have similar issue on my OLED55B6 https://youtu.be/paHY_MLtHdQ
this happens while on home screen too, screen goes blank intermittently, sound and remote keeps working fine. This got worse as time passed by, these days screen just remains on for short period. attached boards and connectors images.

mainboard and power board seems ok as PWR_ON DRV_ON 12VT_ON control signals from MB and 12VT, 12VM, 24VS, 24VD power outputs are working as expected.

Have detached and reattached most of the connecters except PANEL to TCON and LVDS MB side connections, for LVDS MB side, do i have to open the locks from left to right upwords?

Haven't opened TCON heatsink yet, but if i open it what all things i can check? can this be PANEL/TCON/MB issue? also are newer MB like C9 compatible with this TCON? or whole set of C9 MB+TCON+PWR will work with this panel?

            Thanks in advance

At least your TV turns on. My 15 month old OLED65B8PAU won't powerup.
