by EffiSonHi. Could anyone on the forum help me find the cause of the problem?...
The board is LA-B111P Rev:1A comes from Lenovo Y50-70.
I have a identified the damaged R205 resistor, and connect a jump wire over it So it restores the backlight but causing strange problems
1. With Battery ONLY plugged in laptop works fine
2 .With Charger ONLY plugged in laptop works fine as well
3. Connecting both battery and charger at the same time shows a strange flickering screen. The flickering is not constant, it is completely random (and I think it depends on the load -
by jamespeterhHi, all
I've posted a similar Q&A on alternative site but this site seems to be more focused in saving UPS.
The system is a SUA 2200XL Rev 7 230V 640-0800G Rev 7
I have UPS that has a strange fault, it does not show or indicate any load on the system, via display or internally coms, LED test front panel works all light up.

by trickarttHello Badcaps!
I am trying to troubleshoot my Allen & Heath Xone:02 DJ mixer. I have had this for somewhere close to 20 years and have played music through it in one form or another pretty much every single day since I've had it, though these days it's usually from a wireless streaming receptacle (Apple Airport) more than the turntables that are also connected to it.
This week my music stopped working, and after a bit of a wild goose chase, I realised my mixer was dead. I checked the 500mA fuse in the device beside the power supply and found it was blown, so I replaced...-

by madan1Hi everyone.
This is PSU from a NEC projector.
A spring got loose and shorted to ground under q201.
Blown parts found so far:
top side
fuse ( t5ah/250vac )
r115
q201
r214 ( no ohm readings )
d301 ( passing current in both directions )
d302 ( passing current in both directions )
bottom side
r208 ( no ohm readings )
r207 ( no ohm readings )
If I change the above parts will this psu work fine or there are other components which might have blown?
Also, can anyone help with the specs of r208 and r207?... -
by Agent24This was my friend's motherboard. He bought a 2nd hand computer which worked for a couple of days after he got it, then died. I troubleshooted it down to the motherboard and he bought a new board, which fixed the problem.
Now I decided to try fixing his old one for fun.
Problem: No POST, No beeps, power button won't shut board down after power up, have to power PSU off at mains.
After having problems with my own machine locking up and failing to POST, which I eventually traced back to leaky power\reset buttons on my case, I started by desoldering... - Loading...
