This was how the original wiring was, and all LEDs were working when I connected my LED tester to the plug from the PSU.

I still can't understand how some of the LEDs blew when they were all working fine.

Yes, The 2nd string is just an extension of the 1st, same for 4th to 3rd, 6th to 5th and 8th to 4th.
This leaves just 1st + IN from +PSU, 1st -OUT to 3rd +IN, 3rd -OUT to 5th +IN, 5th -OUT to 7th +IN, and 7th -OUT back to -PSU.

PSU LED Socket + ----> to first strip+ (IN ) .. first strip - (out ) go to second strig + in , 2S - out go to 3S + in ......and so one untill the 8 string - out should go to PSU socket -

I have dismantled them for testing at the moment, but I will do a sketch of how I wired them up.
2 Minutes while I find a drawing package...

also it should be so

I'll keep reading thru the forum posts to help further my knowledge, and understanding of TV repairs while I wait on the parts to arrive.

what kind of solder iron you use.. can you show us ?

I had to increase my temp to 330c due to the large contacts

They are 1 on one, 2 on another and 4 on another.
Very strange, as they are not next to each other on the 4 one, and it's on the ends on the other 2.
I find it so strange as they were all lighting up with both my DMM and LED tester before I slid the units out of the chassis.

how may LED failed at your TV?

7 in total, I don't know what happened,
I copied the existing wiring but soldered the wires instead of using the plugs and sockets.
After installing all the strips, I began testing each strip one at a time, and that's when I found out 7 of the LEDs were blown.

I don't know if it was by disturbing them, or the number of times I tested them with my DMMs.

Wonder if those universal led strips from china would work, was some discussion on here the other day about them.

It's trying to find what size of chips they are using..... Very hard....
Sorry for giving you guys a headache, But on a plus side, I have learned so much from your advice and guidance, My knowledge is improving with each and every step .... Thanks...

I have a lot of larger LEDs, I was wondering if I stripped back some of the solder mask, I could fit all 36, so they were the same.
Would that work??, or would it do any harm if I tried??

They look like the ones on the strips and are the same size. But I don't know if there is any way to know what the correct current handling and the forward Voltage is for the ones on the strips is.

I will order some Just in case they are the correct ones, and in the meantime, I will keep looking to see if I can find out the data for the ones on the strips.
