SAMSUNG UE40J5105AK - no picture-backligt OK

Hello out there - got this one for free, nothing special but manufacturing date is 2016, so it not that old....

Symptoms :

Black screen, no picture of any kind
Backlight OK, and backlight also dims after a few minutes
Reacts on remote control ( ON/OFF )
No sound when I feed a HDMI signal, but I am not sure the TV autoswitches, so maybe it is just not set to correct input.
Voltages out of power supply OK
Main processor becomes hot
T-con board is cold as ice, and the 12V fed to the T-con passes one fuse ( OK ) and arrives at a single transistor which is OFF - all lower voltages on T-con NOT present ( no voltages on any pin on any IC )
I have been unable to locate a schematic, but the chassis should be "UH5C"

Any suggestions ?
Both T-con and Mainboard can be found a reasonable prices, but which o one to choose ?

I would try tcon
i think that tcon is known to fail
with the isl chip

Yes. I would go for the T-CON Bd. replacement, also.

But are you saynig that the ISL9860 probably is the main issue ?
I can replace it, and it can be bought really cheap......

ehm... you got this for free and you have been watching also the date?
Here in Italy i'm fighting to get a 2008 37" tv for 35 euro!
Anyway..
First connect if you can a DTT decoder in SCART, only this can autoswitch..
it have to be pre-selected.. If you get a sound then move to the tcon..
disconnect tcon>panel ribbons one at a time and try, post pictures if you get an image..
When you first test a tcon you have to test across capacitor or if present, testpoints, not IC pins, you can destroy the rest!
Test the VCC1.2V TP

Got a new ISL - swapped, and set works :-)
