LG TV - change mod.number in service menu?

Just a technical curiosity of mine:
could it make any sense to try changing the tv set model number inside the service menu, for example choosing a model of the same series but higher end?
Is such an operation possible?
Could it enable some more software features and menus?

Interesting theory. I've never tried it but thinking about it I don't think that is feasible.

not at all, only benefit to change serial No. for example the last letters or No. in case you use Trail app from smart portal which give you one month free of use. each time you change SN you will get one more free trail

Well, it's not a "theory" actually.
I don't believe it myself.
I'd rather call it just a... doubt I wanted to share with more experienced people.
