Samsung UE32C6730 , Horizontal lines. Panel?

    Hey guys ,

Found this tv in the trash. Panel looked ok from the outside so i thought ill take it home.
Turned it on and saw these lines on the screen. Reseated all the cables but no visible changes.

I think it is a bad panel. Removing 1 side of the tcon shows 1 half black screen , other side removed shows the whole screen with lines but less picture on 1 side.

Anyone got any experience with these models? Dont think its bga on mainboard? It has a separate gpu though....

    Thanks.

Capacitor C43 reads 0.8 ohm. Might be shorted capacitor that is causing the problem.
Can i remove it? I read somewhere on this forum that people fix these problems with bad capacitors.

Sorry , never repair these tv's haha.

Sorry. That is a bad panel. Not T-CON Bd or Main Bd. Taking one side of T-CON Bd off gave both sides picture is a bit strange.

Hmm maybe not! Pressing on this small ic makes most lines go away.

Will try to resolder the part.

Does this Panel have Gate Tabs at the side?

No does not have gate tabs , was thinking the same by removing them on 1 side. I pressed the t-con at that area and the lines almost went away or got back at the whole screen. Im now 100% sure the t-con is the problem. Reflowing the resistors/caps did not help but it improved a little.

              Will replace the t-con.

I found out via a local repair man that these mainboards are the issue. When you bend it a little the lines go away. I can confirm it.

Solution is replacement of the mainboard.

Heat up the BGA chip with a Hot air Station if you have access to one 350C at fan speed 4 for 10 min.
