Did you unplug powrboard from mainboard and see if backlights come on?

Voltage on the big caps is 400V and panel 12V looks good on both of my ps boards.

I disconnected all four ribbon cables from the tcon and the backlight came on. With the right 2 connected, display is good on the right side with left side white. Guess there is a panel fault on the left side. Need to rip off the left side tabs.

Update: Ripped off the left side tabs and tv is working! Symptom was tv did not turn on. After multiple attempts, would flash 3-1 error code. Power supply panel 12V tested good on the regulator which can also cause the 3-1 error code. 3-1 code based on service manual pages on previous thread is an initial communications error. Some post indicate a bad regulator can cause this.

Removing the side tabs worked for my issue. Tv would not turn on unless the far left tcon ribbon cable was removed. Found out about the tab removal here on badcaps. I could literally see the screen get better as I pulled the tabs off. Much appreciated!
