Be sure to download and read the directions.

You will have to get your TV to turn on so if it will not turn on try resetting it. I unplugged my TV for about 10 minutes and when I plugged it back in I had to wait 2 more minutes and the TV turned on. Then I inserted the SD card and the update started. I used a 2GB SD card. Bigger SD cards may not work.

What the are requirements for the SDcard? 2GB under? Fat32? NTFS? Do I unrar it directly onto the SD?

You do realize this update is for 2007 dlp tv? If your tv has been working this long, a firmware update is not likely going to fix whatever problem it has.
But if you want to, the unzipped files are about 30Meg, so format the SD card to Fat32 and unzip the files to the root of the SD card.

This is NOT the firmware for a LCD tv! Maybe start a NEW post with the make/model of you're tv and someone here can help.
