Vestels have a protection circuit that detects a short circuit/undervoltage on specific lines. Look at main board schematic for info if unsure how this works but essentially low voltage will trip it out. So it looks like you have a main board issue, time to diagnose why VCC AUDIO is a problem...maybe a bad audio amplifier IC? That is a known issue on some Vestel sets.

You might be able to remove the VCC_AUDIO wire from the plug that goes to the mainboard,
Like Tom said, could be bad audio chip on mainboard
Going by the schematic: if you removed L200 (24volt line) that line also feeds IC300 which is the opto for the OVP line which could shut down the (12V) section IC303 (pin1)

This will make it a teaser then. Main board must be ok because it all turns on fine with another good PSU

This power supply does seem to have two +24 volt supplies, one for the backlights (L200) and one for the audio (D209 from +24V_AC)
I think this schematic has many ways of working depending on how certain jumpers are in place. It looks like some could have audio supplied by either +24volts or +12volts

One other thing to be careful of is some Vestel main boards have 12V audio others have 24V audio
And they can use the same PSU just with different option jumpers
So maybe your new board works but it's just cooking the audio amp, or something odd is going on with the audio config
Either way, you need to look at what is causing that 12V audio line problems.

On M-Audio AV40 active studio speaker's two zener diodes get really hot.
              by Dvsr
Hi. I need help from wiser guys. I am amateur in electronics and can't figure this out by myself.
I bought faulty speakers, M-Audio AV40's. Other speaker has all the electronics in it and the other speaker is just passive one powered by the other speaker's amp. Original problem with the speakers was loud buzzing. I figured out that there is something wrong with the capacitors. I went ahead and replaced every electrolytic capacitor on the PCB. The caps are good quality and have the same values as the original ones.
After replacing the caps I started testing out the speaker. It seemed...

What Zener Diodes on a Linear Power Supply
              by caspian
              Dear members,

I have a linear variable power supply with unknown brand name that I used for voltage injection.
Then it failed. I discovered that its transistors (Q1 and Q2) are shorted.
In addition, I discovered that its zener diodes are defective.
I can replace the burned transistors.
But I do not know the model of the zener diodes. the model number is not marked on the zener diodes.
Therefore, I cannot replace the zener diodes.
I do not want to test the zener diodes in a test circuit to discover their model or value.
              no schematics are available...

              Mainboard: VESTEL 17MB171 Chassis: VES315WNGB - 2D - N52
The TV was stuck on the logo and I couldn't access the update menu.
I couldn't find the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 and updated it with the Toshiba 32WA2063DG - Vestel 17MB171 firmware.
The image result was good, but the image is inverted.
The image rotation/mirror function doesn't exist in the Menu Server. I can't correct the image.
Do you have the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 - Vestel 17MB171 motherboard or a solution to rotate the image in...

Vestel tv, how to flip the image?
              by France_53
Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...

              Macintosh Quadra 840AV PSU
              by nicktasios
I had my Quadra 840AV (which I recapped and had working) plugged in for some time without using it and randomly decided to turn it on today. Unfortunately it did not turn on. After checking the PSU, I found out I was not getting anything from 12V, only from the 5V rail. After a few minutes, I removed the PSU and plugged it back in the electrical outlet and it suddenly started making a weird sound and soon after smoke started coming out. I quickly unplugged it. I opened it up but on first instance I didn't see anything out of the ordinary really. I later turned it back on and one of the MOVs blew...
