Boards could have the same failure, though - especially if they are used. It's hard to tell w/out a scope, unfortunately

Man... so do you think a recap on the PS board would be a fool's errand?

Unlikely to resolve this particular issue but may be worth looking at a few caps on the Y-main.

Was gonna put in a Mouser order anyhow, point out the Y board caps you think might be the issue? Not gonna be mad if it doesn't fix the issue, appreciate all the help, just grasping at straws because I don't want to just chuck out a good 50" 1080p plasma panel.

I would suggest replacing the highlighted capacitors...
However I cannot be sure if this is the fault on this particular set.
