Well the goshdampos programmer will not read anything, it read those two chips, that was all it did. Tried it on 4 others and those two again, nothing but f all across. Sending the programmer and the chip back and starting over OR giving up.

25 is a spi flash, and 24 is an eeprom, they are completely different, and they have different pinouts, the main thing here is that 1 pin of the chip corresponds to 1 pin on the programmer.

I know these cheap programmers usually mean they are harder to deal with, what inexpensive step up from ch341 do you recommend?

It’s not the numbers that are needed here, but the TV model, motherboard number, panel number, and TV tuner that match.

Ok, thanks, that's what I thought you meant when you said it was severely damaged, which is it is not fit for anything, so is it true that I should have matched all the numbers or was the first eight numbers enough? I only read the new chip once, I'll read it again. Since I don't have a 25 adapter, I put the new chip in the clip to read it.

This dump has a severely damaged firmware core and this firmware will not work on any TV or you did not read it correctly from the chip (bad contact...), I cleaned your original dump for you, write it down correctly and check it.

Ok, contacted the seller, they said you have to match every letter and number of the part number, my part # is 02-SLS39A-C005000 001, the one I bought is 02-SLS39A-C003014. Looks like the first eight numbers match, does that sound like an explanation for it being badly damaged or not able to work for my board, if so then it was my fault for not knowing that I needed to match every number in that string. Thanks Lotus for the assist.

I will look up the data sheet on both chips, I suppose they are compatible, I think they just sent this out with a garbage dump on it.

Thanks a lot Lotus, you saved me lots of trouble, I almost just put it on without checking but one thing I have learned is that you must check new parts. They must have sent me a garbage chip, I used esd safety and never touched the chip with a hand, I got the chip from this place: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn...86.m3561.l2562

This dump is VERY badly damaged (the TV won't even turn on with it!).

Lol, ok, I need to wait for a 25 adapter, it's too hard to get a solid connection with the clip.
