Panasonic Power Supply Standby Voltage Problem (pics)

ok, so I'm working on this power supply. Seems it made have had something spilled on it at one time because it's sticky. Have been trying to clean with q-tips and alcohol. Anyway, I have 120v fine across the board to the hot areas. There is a bubble in the PCB near a the relay but the relay had 120v on one side and no 5V to pass through the other side so I've moved away from that for now.

After testing diodes I have found a xener shorted (red in pics). The diode in green is testing fine. I replaced the diode in red but it's still reading shorted so I believe there is a short between the 2 circuits of the diode somewhere else. I am currently suspecting the IC (SK202 yellow in pics) because the top 3 pins in the pic are shorting. Being that the trace for pin 1 is separate from 2-3 I assume it's shorted inside the IC but maybe it's supposed to be?

Also I flipped the closeup pic from the top so it matches the bottom when looking at both pics.

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

    After all of...

Mitsubishi CNC switching power supply board dead / relay board bad diode failure
    by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...

Recapping a Denon AVR X6400h SMPS
    by Green Probe
(TLDR: It was capacitor C6519 [Koshin KZH 50V22uF] and C6515 [Koshin KZH 25V47uF] on the power supply. I have questions at the end)
Disclaimer: I'm an amateur hobbyist and will get things wrong.
Always use caution when working around mains power and high voltage capacitors!

Hey guys, I'm repairing a Denon AVR X6400h for my brother. It quit powering on after a power outage. It acted like this last time there was an outage, but after letting it sit overnight it started working again for a few years. This time letting it sit did not bring it back.
    SYMPTOMS:
    -No display...

UN65MU6300FXZC, no standby LED but power supply good. Bad IC1604 25Q40?
    by Yanleb
    Hi all,

My UN65MU6300FXZC is dead and the standby LED stays off. The power supply is good. The main board is BN94-12434A.

Disconnecting the main board from the power supply makes the backlight come ON.

I did disconnect the panel cables and the WIFI modules, the board is still dead.

I did read in many posts that IC1604 25Q40 becomes corrupted. It has proper 3.3 volt on VCC pin 8. I did read that if I post its dump here someone can fix it. Is that right?

    Thanks.
