Plasma lg 60pn5700 -- self test ok -- but no picture -- help please !

    Hello everyone !

Got a LG 60pn5700 with no picture. Replaced the mainboard and still same thing.

I can turn ON or OFF the TV with no problems. It responds to the remote.

Shorted the 2 pins in the control board (self test) and the panel displays perfectly all solid colors and patterns as it should.

    My questions are:

    1. Does this means that the Y, Z and x boards and buffers works properly?
    2. Could be the control board itself faulty, even it runs the self test correctly ?

The control board Led lites every 5 secs (long -short-5 secs-long short)

All voltages are correct (VS, VA, VSC, VE) except 15V which reads 17.5V

Any help will be very appreciated !

    Thank you in advance !

Everything but the mainboard is good. Someone sold you a bad mainboard. That test confirms the control board is good and main is bad. Get your $$$$$ back and try another.

Thank you for the advice !
Just what I suspected but I need a more experienced opinion because is hard to accept that a mainboard claimed as "working perfect" doesn't work at all. Is a headache !!
Thanks to you my headache is gone ! hahahaha!
I just ordered another main (actually $20 cheaper than the previous)
Thank you again and I will post the results next week to let you know and for the benefit of others with the same problem.
      Best regards !

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
            by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

Trying to Save - LG 60PH6700 60-inch plasma HDTV - Powers ON but no picture
            by KYBOSH
Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
            Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.

I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.

The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
            Will start troubleshooting tonight.

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
            by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

            Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung PN64E550D1F plasma – sound, no picture
            by Chris555
The TV turns on and works normally for a short time but eventually the video shuts off and only the sound is playing. The problem has been getting worse over the past couple of weeks. Initially, unplugging for a while solved the problem and it worked properly for several hours until the next failure. Now it usually fails after a few minutes and unplugging does not always reset it to a good state. Also, it does appear that using the remote for functions like accessing the menu or changing the video input sometimes causes the failure to occur immediately, though changing the volume seems to have...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?
            by chth96
            Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....
