    samsung un55h6203 led blub issues

Kind of a weird question here.
I have done this lots of times with no problems and can't figure out what is going on this time.

So essentially I had 2 bulbs that were burnt out on 2 seperate strips. I did not have the extra strips and have changed just one bulb by cutting part of a strip off and wiring in a new bulb.

this time after I did it the tv turns on as usual however the leds turn on and then off in succession constantly. I have checked my soldering and everything looks fine. the continuity is fine and all the bulbs are working fine now but as I said the tv turns on and the backlights just turn on and off constantly.

I cannot figure out what it is that I did wrong.

I have done this about 20 or more times without any problems in the past when I don't have the exact strip to replace. This strip I cut from was not from the same model of samsung but was from a samsung and is the same brand of led.

interestingly when the tvs backlights are on for the second that they come on the screen shows no display just lights up. with the backlights plug removed the tv turns on and the flashlight test shows the display properly..

I know that I can just order a couple of strips to fix the problem but I would really just like to know what it is that I did wrong that could cause this.
I am assuming this is some error on my part.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Also if this method that I have been using is a bad idea for any reason this info would also be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You are sure that the replacement LED has the same forward Voltage rating as the original? There are 6V and 3V spec.

      that i do not know.
didn't even know there were 2....

could this be the problem then?

at this point im not even sure which replacement bulbs i used.

i have bulbs that say d3ge-500sma, d3ge-460smb and the original ones which i didn't take note of.

I know i will have to take it apart again but I am trying to avoid taking that screen off again if i have to order strips as i am concerned about cracking it due to its size. want to keep it together until I either order the strips (if i have to ) or know what I have to do to fix it.

attached are the 3 stickers. One is the original (don't know which one until i take it all apart again) and the other 2 are bulbs i used.

Not concerned about time this is a tv that I got from a friend to either fix for myself or my plan is to fix it and give it back to him as a surprise. He took it to best buy and they told him that it was garbage and wanted to keep it.

      Thanks for the fast reply.
I really do love this site it is filled with the most informative and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

Oh I guess after looking the 55E are the originals. The other 2 are the ones I used to replace.

Those are not P/N of the LED itself, they are P/N o f the strips.

I have never seen any of those LEDs with P/N printed on them.
Right now we are 100% sure if you are using the wrong LEDs or the other LEDs may be also bad which will also cause the flashing LEDs.

ok so i guess best best would be to order them. i only need 2 stick or just 2 known proper voltage bulbs. shopjimmy sells the whole set at tge same price as 2 sticks on ebay. i guess i will go that route unless someone here wants to sell to sticks or 2 cheap.

              thanks again

in case anyone cares i figured it out. one set of leds that i was using had 3 wires. the other just 2. original set had just 2. so that was causing the flashing on and off. all bulbs were the same voltage in the end. fixed. my friend is happy. so am I. another tv saved from the landfill!
