Kind of a weird question here.
I have done this lots of times with no problems and can't figure out what is going on this time.
So essentially I had 2 bulbs that were burnt out on 2 seperate strips. I did not have the extra strips and have changed just one bulb by cutting part of a strip off and wiring in a new bulb.
this time after I did it the tv turns on as usual however the leds turn on and then off in succession constantly. I have checked my soldering and everything looks fine. the continuity is fine and all the bulbs are working fine now but as I said the tv turns on and the backlights just turn on and off constantly.
I cannot figure out what it is that I did wrong.
I have done this about 20 or more times without any problems in the past when I don't have the exact strip to replace. This strip I cut from was not from the same model of samsung but was from a samsung and is the same brand of led.
interestingly when the tvs backlights are on for the second that they come on the screen shows no display just lights up. with the backlights plug removed the tv turns on and the flashlight test shows the display properly..
I know that I can just order a couple of strips to fix the problem but I would really just like to know what it is that I did wrong that could cause this.
I am assuming this is some error on my part.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Also if this method that I have been using is a bad idea for any reason this info would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
