WTF ! This Vestel Psu has lost the plot ! In a 42" Digihome Slimline Led set, with Mb95. Fault is stuck in standby psu not bring 24v rail up. Found short on the 24v output diodes quite normal for these to fail, used 12v across them to find which one got hot meaning its the shorted one. Snipped it out of circuit but still stuck in standby but the short on the 24v rail is gone. Figured the Led mosfet could be short or damaged due to the shorted diodes causing it to fail. So decided to unscrew the Psu.
Well it seems that I missed the fact that the resistor next to the switching transistor has totally blew up, the controller for the transistor has a hole in it, several smds have holes in them and the switcher is shorted. Along with 2 of the bridge diodes (normally on Vestel led sets if switcher shorts it kills the bridge diodes) but guess what THE FUSE IS IN TACT ! I guess either a mov or ntc failed in time before it blew the fuse which is not a good thing kind of scary tbh. MADNESS !
