LG 42LG70 intermittent issue - no display at power on

LG 42LG70 intermittent issue - no display at power on

Good evening. I have a LG 42LG70-UG.AUSPLJR television. Twice, I've turned it on and there has been no display. The red led blinks three times and switches to blue as it normal does, but the display doesn't illuminate. While in this state, "beeps" are still heard when pressing the buttons on the side. Both times I have been able to get it to come back on by unplugging it and leaving it disconnected for a period of time.

I typically suspect capacitors when intermittent issues start to arise but see no obviously bulging or ruptured capacitors on the board. I've read a few of the guides here, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to begin.

Can anyone share some insight on how they would begin diagnosing this problem?

I can add detail if there are any questions. I have additional pictures if required.

Are the backlight still on when you do not see the images on the screen? Look at the front or through the holes on the back of the LCD panel to see if you see any lights in a dark room.

Uncertain at this point. I reassembled it this evening and it came on. When it was out earlier today I tried to look at it from different angles to determine if I could see a faint picture (back light). I didn't, but it was pretty bright in the room I didn't think about looking through the vents in the back. Good suggestion. When it fails again, I'll check.

Whats the next thing to check if it's off versus if it's on?

Good evening. Issue occurred again tonight.

The back light has not come on. If I peer down from the vents on top in the back, I see what appears to be a single green LED above the HDMI connectors on the board pictured in IMG5804.jpg

I'm beginning to suspect that the TV believes that I shouldn't be watching college football or political debates.
