    Question: Samsung PN64E550D1FXZC

I have the BN44-00515A Power Supply Repair Kit from Jimmys

I have found shorted Mosfet @ QP 802 and blown main fuse.

    Blown P/N is K18A60V

    Replacement from shopJimmy's is K13A60D

I'm wondering if the experts here could advise me on using this 13A mosfet??
I have contacted Jimmy's no response (probably off for the long weekend)

You cant put a lower amperage device in place of a higher one, because it wont be able to supply the current needed and blow up ! Also you have a different kit for the part you need from what I can tell ?

My invoice says I bought the BN44-00515A Kit, which is a match for the # on my Power Supply board.

The packets all have location labels, and the components in the packets match the "look" of the components on the board at these locations.

I'm still waiting to hear from "shopjimmys"

I agree that it seems wrong to insert a component with a lesser value than the original that failed.

I'm not a electronics pro, that's why I'm seeking advice.

It seems that quite a few people on this forum use "shopjimmys" components and I hav'nt read anything really bad about their stuff as yet.

        Re: Question: Samsung PN64E550D1FXZC

It could be a case of the original part is higher rated then truly required for that board, Shopjimmy maybe supplying a part that is within the boards specs and it might even be a better quality part then the original. Manufactures many times when assembling different boards use whatever is on hand within the required specs so you could see different parts in boards.

Yeah, I hope so, If I don't hear from them I'm going to assume they consider them adequate, and solder them in.
It would be nice to hear from someone else that has actually used these K13A60's on this board in the "QP 804" location without problems.

I can bet that any kits that are sold by shopjimmy are parts theyve used themselves.

                  Re: Question: Samsung PN64E550D1FXZC

OK, I changed the 10amp fuse and Mosfets at QP802-804 and replaced the 16 pin I C (802)

I now have a blinking stand by light

Now I need some help finding a schematic.

                  Anybody got this info?

Just in case someone else bought the BN44-00515A Power Supply repair kit from Shopjimmy's and recieved K13A60 Mosfets in place of the K18A60's It was an error on their part.

Shopjimmy has sent me the proper parts with an apology for the time it took to respond (july 4th holiday)

Everyone makes mistakes....I found their chatline representative very
                    very good!
                    I'd buy from them again!!
