The two IGBT's on the Y-SUS as mentioned seemed ok. I managed to source a Y-Buffer on eBay, heard it's often a battle to find working ones. Will update if it fixes the issue or not.

What was the result on the FET's for the X SUS?

Easier to replace the buffer-chips on the board than go hunting for a suspect/possibly stuffed buffer-board complete...

Buffer chips are only a couple of quid each too, advantage is, you then KNOW your board is good and should last a while.

I just did a Panasonic with two dead buffer-chips yesterday, chips cost me £7 and a replacement s/h board was £50+

New buffer board tested fine without any shorts to ground on any of the ic pins. The IGBT's on the X-SUS board tested fine but still nothing. Just re-tested the buffer and there now appears to be shorts on various pins. Would appear crt mans diagnosis of the IGBT's and buffer failure don't seem to match the faults here. Appears something else is blowing the y buffer.. Maybe y main?

Hi Alastair, I think that might be what I do now. Where do you get your chips from? Thank you.

I'm starting to wonder if I hadn't tested the board on the correct ground pin initially. Both the IGBT's that crtman first mentioned are now blown. Think I fit a board which was more faulty than the one I took off lol. Back to the drawing board. The seller is convinced it wasn't faulty but my board never blew the two IGBT's and this one has done.
