    Sony 65X9004A no display

    Hello All,

I'm currently working on this Sony 65x9004A that have no display with a "4 blink" error code. If not mistaken, the error code mean LD board or panel fault. Sometime there are startup sound from the speaker, sometimes not. Initially I thought the LD board could be faulty, but after some troubleshooting I find that there is no voltage supply to the "VLED_VCC". I'm not sure how many volt should be on the "VLED_VCC"?

The "LD_ERR" go from 0 to 3.75V, Indicating the LD board fault? Also there this is "GL_CTRL" go from 0 to 3.75V. I'm not sure what is the indicating? The 4 LED backlit connector was disconnected from the LD board during the measurement.

So my question....could this be the power supply fault? or the power supply is not powering up the "VLED_VCC" because a missing good signal from the LD board?

I have tried grounding the "LD_ERR" with a 100ohm resister but still no voltage at the "VLED_VCC".

I can also hear some buzzing sound from i think one of the transformer.

    Re: Sony 65X9004A no display

Found few bad components on primary side of the power supply board. 2xMosfet (Q6506,Q6505) MDF18N50B, ceramic fuse resistor (R6553) 0.1ohm 1J6 and a diode (D6505) marked A 3.??

Anyone know what diode is that? The forward bias voltage measured with DMM is about 0.13V..so I suspect this is partially damaged?

Hello, I have since the last week exactly the same problem, synonymous already the LD board exchanged but unfortunately no improvement.

Have you solved the problem by a new power supply?

But I have the 65x9005A TV

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

        Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
        by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
        CN6401
        Pin 01 NC
        Pin 02 NC
        Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
        Pin 04 "N/C"
        Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
        Pin 06 "GND": N/C
        Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Sony Vaio SVS MBX-261 board failure
        by delpiero3
Hi everyone, newcomer in this forum, i watched tons of video from Sorin, i like the way i calmly explain things, i did quite some console repair, i am not that bad at micro-soldering, but troubleshooting where the issue is, is definitely where i still have progress to make. Usually i was able to fix the console because the failure was obvious, or because i was able to find someone with similar measures on the board and was pinpointing what to replace that way.
Nevertheless, let's say, i don't come as a total beginner.
I have this old laptop, which suit perfectly my needs, with the...
