My dad brought a Samsung 4K curved Tv today to replace this one in the OP, had 13 hour use so far. Will see how long this thing lasts will probably be updating this in a year about this one failing. Got the backlight at 10 which is half so hopefully the Leds are ok. Wonder how long it will manage will keep you updated

just had a ue40b7020ww no image but backlights and everything else worked hmm tcon board found one ut it in puff of smoke from the small ic between lvds sockets burnt hole on it hmmm looked at the original same problem stripped down screen water damaged and burnt tab bond Grrrrrr

all boards except tcon now available lol

Cheers mate, I really appreciate your help with it always worth a try. I could have ordered that Ic which had pre applied balls but thats alot of messing. Anyway after all that hes buying a new one in the next two weeks lol but I will be selling this on

A final update it didnt work out for this one, after Diif kindly did a reflow on the Cpu it still failed. Come to the conclusion the actual Cpu Ic which is a custom Samsung SETD-10 chip is failing internally so will need to be replaced.

Replaced Mb and the Tv is working great, I will be uploading images soon showing how hot this chip was getting, the thermal pad went rock solid and brown it got that hot and you can also see the scoring on the case in previous images.

The new Mb I replaced the heatsink on the main Cpu with a better one and added thermal silicon to it which works alot better should help it cool better and last longer.

Haha suppose silly intermittent issue, I was sure the Psu joints were bad though they sure looked it but ohh well hopefully sort it again. Im not buying another board which is £70 as hes getting a new one soon any way but doesn't want the Technika or any other Tv I have lol

Well the Tv failed again, same fault I was confident I fixed it as it worked fine for a day but it started with the sound going and then back to restarting. I have found that the motherboard main processor Ic the Bga solder on it is starting to fail when I press on it the Ic the Tv works but when I flick it the Tv messes up.

I have temporarily put some thermal pads on the heatsink to put pressure on the Ic. Im getting Diif to properly reflow the board and will keep you updated

Lol its easy to check, its done well this one has. Any time I go over its on for hours at a time. The backlight is set to 10 which is half so less chance of the Led burning out too.

That explains the hours on the TV. Some time I have to check the hours on my old Samsung 32" TV. It's about 9 years old now, never flinched a bit. Low hours guaranteed. Lol

Its on almost 18 hours a day ! My little sister and step mom are up at about 7am Tv gets turned on, left on through out the day until 12:30am roughly which is when my dad goes to bed and switches it off. Its worked really well, its only 5 years old too. Impressed for a Samsung tbh

The hours on the TV: that is like almost 7.5 years of watching 12hrs, every single day! Holy shit!
