    Hitachi plasma 42pd5200 power issue

    Hi everyone.
I'm looking for some help to fix a problem with my TV.
It was fine last night. This morning I turned on the power button, the green power light came on, about 2 seconds later there was a little click from somewhere as if going into standby and that's it. But the green power light still stays on.
About 6 years ago it did a similar thing from memory. It went to a shop and they fixed it. Dont know what they did but it was fine after. Maybe the same fault gone bad.

Wondering if it could be fixed using the kit on ebay for a few pounds. Just soldering the new components on. But would like somebody who knows about this to chat to first before I go stripping and buying parts.

It's a lovely TV. I can't throw it away. I'd love to self fix it with some help. I'm good with a soldering iron so any help would be much appreciated.

Ebay item 191564695513 is the part perhaps to fix but how would I know.

    Thanks all.

    Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Samsung 59" plasma PN59D550C1F seeking advice on mystery power board issue
    by Cooperr
I picked up this TV from Facebook Marketplace, original owner described it as "screen went black after a pop" and I hoped to see an obvious fuse or cap to replace. Doesn't seem to be the case, but my experience and electrical knowledge are kind of limited for this.

The power board (BN44-00445A, see attached) turns on and Vs and Va seem to momentarily have power, then they steadily drain to zero over a minute or two as if they're only getting power from capacitors. I've been measuring Vs and Va from the test pads, with and without the other boards connected to the power board...

Samsung Plasma TV Power Supply Issue
    by lp20th
I have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 Power-On Issue (Troubleshooting Assistance)
    by justice171
I am seeking guidance on an Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 that does not turn on when pressing the power button.

Below are the observations and troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Observations and Tests:
    1. Verified that all critical voltages are present:
      • 3.3V and 5V are always present if DC is plugged.
      • 1.8V on the BIOS chip is present.
    2. Checked the power button functionality:
      • When pressed, the voltage drops to 0V, indicating the button is functional.
    3. Inspected the flex cable connecting the USB, audio, and power button to JUB1:
      • Confirmed connectivity is intact, ruling out issues
